Chris Hemsworth brings Thor back for 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Chris Hemsworth's Thor is officially coming back, and with a revelation: he has a daughter.

In the newest "Avengers: Doomsday" teaser, the Asgardian God of Thunder is shown praying in the woods in battle gear.

"Father, all my life, I have answered every call to honor, duty, to war," he says. "But now fate has given me something I never sought... a child, a life untouched by storm."

"Lend me the strength of the All-Fathers so that I might fight once more. Defeat one more enemy and return home to her, not as a warrior but as warmth. To teach her not battle but stillness. The kind I never knew," he adds. "Please, Father, heed my words."

In its previous teaser, Marvel revealed that Chris Evans is coming back as Steve Rogers, the Captain America before Anthony Mackie's Falcon.

"Avengers: Doomsday" gathers a slew of Marvel characters for a packed cast, with Robert Downey Jr. playing Doctor Doom. It has wrapped up filming and will premiere on December 18, 2026.
