IU, Byeon Woo Seok enter contract marriage in ‘Perfect Crown’

“Perfect Crown,” an upcoming K-drama series starring IU and Byeon Woo Seok, has dropped its initial teaser.

On YouTube, MBC Drama shared a 40-second video featuring IU as Sung Hee Joo, a commoner heiress and Woo Seok as Grand Prince Yi An, a descendant of royalty.

The upcoming series appears to center on a modern-day romantic arrangement, in which the lead pair enters a strategic marriage plan for their personal gain.

“Perfect Crown” is set to premiere in 2026.  

IU is fresh from receiving the Daesang award at the 2025 APAN Star Awards for her performance on Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines.”

During the awards night, the South Korean actress and singer donned a gown designed by Filipina designer Monique Lhuillier.
