'Stranger Things' ends after 10 years as Season 5 releases finale
Eleven and her friends have reached the end of the road after almost 10 years.
Netflix released the highly anticipated final episode of the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things" on New Year's Day (Philippine time).
The finale wraps up the adventures of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana and the ominous place called the Upside Down.
The episode has a runtime of over two hours, capping off an eight-episode season.
"Stranger Things," created by the Duffer Brothers, debuted in Netflix in 2016. Set in the 1980s, the story starts with the mysterious disappearance of Will Byers and subsequent appearance of Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic abilities, which leads to the uncovering of supernatural entities and government conspiracies.
The hit sci-fi show also stars Winona Ryder, Joe Keery, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, and Jamie Campbell Bower. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
