BTS World Tour: All we know so far
The internet is still buzzing following the official announcement of the BTS World Tour, with fans scrambling to make plans to see the South Korean supergroup.
Amid the online frenzy, here are the facts you need to know to get some perspective and to better prepare yourself for when ticketing finally starts.
It's their first tour in four years
Expect BTS to go all out, because this is the group's first tour in four years, after their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concert series in stadiums in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas between 2021 and 2022.
It is also their first time onstage since “Yet to Come in Busan,” or World Expo 2030 Busan Korea Concert BTS, in 2022. To recall, BTS performed “Run BTS,” “For Youth,” and "Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)" for the first time at that show, making it so much more exciting to finally hear them live again.
Additionally, this is the first time BTS will be back onstage as a complete group after completing their mandatory military services from 2022 to 2025.
This tour is gonna be huge and full of firsts
In fact, “huge” might just be an understatement. It is dubbed by the media as “the biggest K-Pop tour of all time.”
BTS will play in 34 regions and across five continents, with a total of 79 shows so far. More tour dates will soon be announced!
BTS will open their tour in April with three shows in Goyang, South Korea. They will then travel to more cities around Asia, North America, and Europe.
According to Live Nation, the BTS World Tour will bring about historic firsts. BTS will play Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, “marking the first and largest headline K-pop concerts ever held in both cities.”
BTS will also be the second act to perform at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California after Coldplay.
It will also be BTS’ first time in Madrid, Spain and Brussels, Belgium.
BTS will perform on a 360-degree stage
ARMYs will get the best view, because BTS is set to perform on a 360-degree stage!
Live Nation confirmed that this setup will result in an immersive stage, with “the audience at the center of the experience while allowing for increased capacity at every venue.”
It is also the first time a stadium tour will get a 360-degree stage.
