“Physical: Asia” stars Justin Coveney and Eloni Vunakece just met with their beloved Filipino fans!
The Rugby Brothers had an intimate meet-and-greet in Bonifacio Global City on Tuesday, where they expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support of Filipino fans.
“Since ‘Physical: Asia’ was released and you saw what we did for our respective countries, particularly for the Philippines," said Justin, who was a member of the Philippine Team in the reality show. "The love and the support has been overwhelming,” he added.
“So, I just want to thank you for watching, thank you for supporting. We did our absolute best, and it's you guys who drive these shows,” he added.
Eloni said he had enjoyed his time in the country.
“I'm really thankful to the Philippines. Everybody's been so welcoming. And I’ve enjoyed my time here,” he said.
Aside from a photo opportunity and signing event, Justin and Eloni also joined fun-filled games and activities with their fans.
A two-time SEA Games gold medalist, Justin is part of the Philippine Rugby Team and a pioneer on the World Sevens stage.
Nicknamed “The Flying Jeepney,” he also played professionally in Japan for eight years.
Meanwhile, Eloni is a former Fiji international who competed in both rugby league and union, representing his country at multiple World Cups and playing professionally in the National Rugby League and France’s Pro D2.
He is a member of Team Australia on “Physical: Asia.”
“Physical: Asia” is a reality show from the Physical: 100 franchise. It is a team competition featuring top-tier athletes representing their respective countries.
Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao originally led the Philippine team but had to pull out due to another obligation. He was replaced by Hernandez. — LA, GMA Integrated News
