BTS 'Arirang' World Tour: Goyang shows sell out in pre-sale, US concert dates added
BTS will be kicking off their "Arirang" world tour with a sold-out crowd!
Tickets for the first stop of the tour, Goyang in South Korea, have been sold out for all three dates during ARMY membership pre-sale, BigHit Music confirmed in a statement shared on X. The tour opener will take place at the the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9, 11, and 12.
Due to "explosive demand," BTS has added one additional show each in Tampa and Stanford in the US.
The new show in Tampa will be held at the Raymond James Stadium on April 28, while the new show in Stanford will be held at the Stanford Stadium on May 19. Pre-sale will be held on January 23.
BTS' "Arirang" World Tour will now have 81 shows across 34 cities. According to BigHit, this marks the largest number of dates in K-pop tour history.
The upcoming world tour is BTS' first since their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concert series in stadiums in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas between 2021 and 2022. It is also their first time onstage since “Yet to Come in Busan,” or World Expo 2030 Busan Korea Concert BTS, in 2022.
BTS will be bringing the tour to the Philippines on March 13 to 14, 2027, their first time in the Philippines in 10 years.
Their upcoming album, "Arirang," will be released on March 20. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
