'The Devil Wears Prada 2' introduces Andy Sachs as Runway's features editor

There’s a new features editor at Runway magazine, and it’s none other than Miranda Priestly’s (Meryl Streep) former editorial assistant, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway).

The official trailer for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" dropped on Monday morning, opening with Nigel (Stanley Tucci) describing Runway as "not just a magazine," but a "global icon" and a "winding road that brings us back together again."

The trailer then shows Andy returning to Runway's offices, with Miranda barely recognizing her. Meanwhile Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) jokes she's having a "hallucination" upon seeing her former colleague.

The final scene reveals Andy formally introducing herself as Runway's new features editor, followed by a sarcastic response from Miranda, who says she’s thrilled to have her back.

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" is set for a theatrical release on May 1.

Part of the sequel will take place in Milan, Reuters reported. Meryl and Stanley were previously spotted at Dolce & Gabbana’s Milan Fashion Week show in September 2025.

The original "The Devil Wears Prada" film was adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 bestselling novel of the same name. The movie was a box-office success, earning $326.7 million worldwide.

A stage musical adaptation, featuring music by Elton John, premiered in 2022.
