The Chinese New Year is upon us!

For 2026, the Year of the Fire Horse begins on Tuesday, February 17. According to Feng Shui, this year is all about passion and determination, making it a good time to bring your long-term plans or dreams to life.

On "Unang Hirit" Monday, Feng Shui consultant Johnson Chua shared all the things you can do to ensure your luck in the coming new year. That includes building a Prosperity Basket with uncooked rice as the main ingredient, firecrackers, and a blue string and then opening it and cooking the rice and using the charms after nine days or on February 25, which Johnson described as something of a "second new year."

He also recommended hanging an image of a horse on your front door, to welcome the Year of the Horse and arranging nine ang paos with your clear wishes in it in a diamond formation.
