Fil-Jap choreographer Rie Hata shares what it's like to work with BTS
Filipino-Japanese choreographer Rie Hata, who has worked with BTS, Twice, Seventeen, G-Dragon, and Red Velvet, is currently in the Philippines to pursue projects in the country.
On Thursday’s episode of “Unang Hirit,” the Queen of Swag shared what it was like to work with BTS and some of the biggest names in the K-pop world.
“It’s such an honor to work with hardworking and ambitious people,” she said.
“I’ve been choreographing so many songs from BTS, but every time I choreograph, I raise the level, but they always respond,” she added. “They’re amazing.”
When asked who her favorite artist or group to choreograph for is, Rie said she loves working with all of them equally.
“I always give my energy to each one of them, so I never thought of which one is my favorite,” she said. “I’m focusing on directing, formation, and the concept.”
The choreographer said her visit to the Philippines is to meet with Filipino celebrities for potential projects, but the details are still under wraps.
She is also set to appear in “TiktoClock” at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
BTS is gearing up for a massive comeback in March with the release of their new album, “Arirang.”
The group is also going on a world tour in support of the album, with two shows in Manila scheduled for 2027. ARMYs are already preparing for ticket sales.
Netflix will exclusively stream the highly anticipated comeback performance of BTS live at the historic Gwanghwamun in Seoul on March 21. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
