'Sakamoto Days' live-action film drops trailer packed with action and fun

The "Sakamoto Days" live-action film is shaping up to be a fun ride.

TOHO Animation has released a trailer ahead of its release on April 29, and fans are hyped at seeing Ren Meguro portray Taro Sakamoto.

The trailer first gives a glimpse of Sakamoto in his professional hitman days, before showing him portly and comfortable at home with his wife and daughter.

Now a convenience store owner, Sakamoto finds his family life threatened as his past catches up to him.

The film also features Fumiya Takahashi as the assassin Shin Asakura.

"Sakamoto Days" is based on Yuuto Suzuki's manga of the same name. It was adapted into anime in 2025. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
