Sarah J. Maas announces 2 new 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' books set for 2026 and 2027
Sarah J. Maas is continuing the story of her best-selling series "A Court of Thorns and Roses" with two new books!
The fantasy author on Instagram announced that Books 6 and 7 are coming out on October 27 and January 12, respectively. The last book in the series, "A Court of Silver Flames," was released back in 2021.
"I know how long you’ve waited," Sarah wrote. "I know how much these characters mean to you. And I also know these stories deserve more than speed and deadlines. They deserve my best self. They deserve the right moment."
She added that while writing, what she thought would be one book "very quickly became something else."
"The story just kept expanding, and I couldn’t wait to share a single part of it any longer!" she said. "THANK YOU for your patience! THANK YOU for your passion! THANK YOU for never letting this world fade!!!"
"I’m so honored by the way you guys have always embraced Prythian as your own. I truly hope it feels like coming home for you like it did for me," she added.
"A Court of Thorns and Roses" follows 19-year-old Feyre Archeron who is taken to the faerie lands of Prythian.
The first book was released in 2015.
Sarah J. Mass is also the author behind the popular fantasy series "Throne of Glass" and "Crescent City."
