"One Piece" actor Taz Skylar, who portrays Sanji in the live-action Netflix series, is dreaming big when it comes to the future of their show.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News' Lyn Ching, Taz shared that when he was first cast and was met with a lot of doubts, he enjoyed the challenge.

"I love it when doubt me and I can kind of sit there and like, watch, give me a second and watch," he said.

Now, he added, there's "still a level of that," even after most fans of the original manga and anime ended up loving the TV adaptation.

"Even though the fans are with us and believe in us, there's a whole level of, like, I want this show to be remembered 10 years from now," he said.

"I think that's like the larger 'joint enemy' that we have, leaving a legacy," he added.

"One Piece," Netflix's live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's legendary manga of the same name, has returned for a second season after a three-year wait. The first season had immediately become a global phenomenon upon its release in 2023, spending eight weeks on the Global Top 10, and reaching no. 1 in over 75 countries.

"One Piece: Into the Grand Line" picks up after the Straw Hat Pirates gathers in the East Blue.

The story follows Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew in his search for the ultimate treasure, the One Piece, and his quest to become King of the Pirates.

Season 3 is already in production. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
