Katseye addresses Manon's hiatus as they make comeback with 'Pinky Up'
Katseye has directly addressed the controversy surrounding Manon, whose sudden hiatus stirred backlash from fans.
In an interview on Apple Music's The Zane Lowe Show, leader Sophia assured that Manon is "doing well," and they're "rooting for all of us."
"You know, we've gone through so much with each other. At the end of the day, we just all want each other to win. And to be good. And to feel good and to be happy and just, you know, just keep showing up for what we want," she said.
Lara also stated, "She's our sister forever."
"Like we love her so much and we built this together. So we just want to give her all the space and love she needs right now," she added.
Katseye released their new single "Pinky Up" with a music video that doesn't feature Manon. The girls stuck to the concept and put their pinkies up repeatedly throughout the MV.
They are set to perform on Coachella on April 10 and April 17.
According to latest reports, Manon will not be participating as she remains on hiatus.
Earlier this month, Manon removed Katseye from her Instagram bio but said she remains in positive communication with Hybe and Geffen.
“HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I'm happy and I'm healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me,” she said.
She went on hiatus in February. —JCB, GMA News
