K of &TEAM to play Nagi in 'Blue Lock' live-action film
K of &TEAM is set to portray Seishiro Nagi in the live-action adaptation of “Blue Lock!”
On X, the film’s official page announced the casting and shared a photo of K as the main character.
Set for a theatrical release in Japan on August 7, the upcoming film will be based on the spinoff manga “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi,” which follows Seishiro Nagi before he enters Blue Lock.
“Blue Lock” is a soccer manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. First released in 2018, it was later adapted into an anime series that is currently streaming on Netflix.
The story follows the fictional Blue Lock Project, which aims to find an ace striker capable of leading Japan to a World Cup championship.
Meanwhile, &TEAM is a Japanese boy band formed by HYBE Labels and debuted in 2022. Aside from K, it includes Fuma, Nicholas, EJ, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, and Maki.
