Olivia Rodrigo to celebrate ‘Drop Dead’ release with karaoke party in Manila

UMG Philippines announced on Instagram that there will be a karaoke party at a secret location in Manila on Saturday to celebrate the release of Olivia Rodrigo’s new song, “Drop Dead.”

“Don’t miss your chance to bring a friend to Olivia’s Karaoke Party in Metro Manila on April 18,” UMG Philippines wrote.

As of writing, there are no sign-up links or mechanics attached to the announcement, only a pre-save option for “Drop Dead” on Spotify and Apple Music.

“Drop Dead” is set for a worldwide release on Friday. It’s among the new tracks included in Olivia’s third album titled “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” which will be released on June 12.

The upcoming album arrives nearly three years after "Guts" (2023).

Olivia visited the Philippines for her first concert in the country in 2024, where she proudly showcased her Filipino blood—thanking her kababayans, wearing a “Miss So Filipina” sash, writing “Pinoy Pride” on her statement tee, and more.
