How much will 'Grand Theft Auto 6' cost? Take-Two CEO says it will be 'reasonable'

As anticipation builds for "Grand Theft Auto 6," questions around its price are beginning to surface.

According to a report by IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick weighed in on the conversation, although he did not confirm the game's price outright.

"Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way, way, way less of the value delivery," he said.

"How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got," he added.

Zelnick said that they look at how to deliver an amazing product while making sure that "what people pay for it feels very reasonable."

He added that he and the teams behind the upcoming game are "more focused on delivering a fantastic experience than worrying about how it performs."

"What we think about is making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth, in history – and it’s a pretty daunting challenge. If we do that, and if we’re of service to our customers, then the upside will take care of itself."

"Grand Theft Auto 6," the long awaited installation to the popular video game franchise, is set to release on November 19.

It was initially set for a 2025 release, but Rockstar Games delayed it twice, citing intention to deliver the game with "the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve."

"Grand Theft Auto 6" is set in modern day Vice City, and follows the playable protagonists Lucia and Jason.

"Grand Theft Auto" is a video game franchise by David Jones and Mike Dailly. The first game was released in 1997.

The last installation, "Grand Theft Auto V," was released 12 years ago in 2013. —JCB, GMA News
