'The Summer I Turned Pretty' cast, crew ask fans for privacy amid movie filming
The cast and crew of the upcoming “The Summer I Turned Pretty” movie are asking fans to respect their privacy as filming continues.
On Instagram, the official account of the series-turned-film shared a video with the words “privacy please” written on the sand, alongside a statement addressing fans who have been sharing filming locations and visiting the set.
“We love the excitement, but sharing locations and visiting set disrupts filming and create real safety concerns for our cast and crew,” the statement read.
“We’re working hard to create a protected bubble to make the best movie possible,” it added. “Please help us protect the magic of Cousins until it’s ready to be shared.”
In September 2025, Amazon announced that “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is getting a movie of the same name.
Based on Jenny Han’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty” book trilogy, the story follows a love triangle involving Belly (Lola Tung), Conrad (Christopher Briney), and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
As of writing, the release date of the film has not been announced.
