Fort Santiago, Centro de Turismo Intramuros offer free admission, tours to OFWs this May

Fort Santiago and Centro de Turismo Intramuros are offering free admission to all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from May 25 to 31.

According to the Department of Tourism (DOT), free guided tours will also be available daily. The schedule is as follows:

Centro de Turismo Intramuros

  • May 27 to 31, 4 p.m.

Fort Santiago

  • May 25 to 31, 4:30 p.m.

OFWs and returning OFWs (Balik-Manggagawa) must present a valid Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) or a valid Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) card to avail the free admission and guided tour.

It is recommended to register onsite an hour before the tour. Each OFW may also bring up to four companions during their visit.

The free admission and guided tours for OFWs are made possible by the DOT, Intramuros Administration, and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) through the "Pasyal Pamilya: Balik Bayani sa Walled City" initiative.

Fort Santiago is open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Meanwhile, Centro de Turismo Intramuros is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
