US pickleball brand Friday Pickleball arrives in the Philippines

US pickleball brand Friday Pickleball has officially entered the Philippine market.

The brand marked its local debut this week at the Toby’s Sports Flagship Store in Bonifacio Global City with pickleball games held along BGC 5th Avenue.

Friday Pickleball is known for its paddles and accessories designed for players of different skill levels, from beginners to more competitive athletes.

Among the products now available in the Philippines are the Aura and Aura Pro paddles.

Currently, Friday Pickleball is holding the Friday Auras Tour in the country which features pro clinics, challenge courts, exhibition matches, and more. It included stops in Dumaguete and Cebu, and will conclude in Davao on Saturday.

Pickleball is a racket sport that can be played in both indoor and outdoor courts with short-handled small paddles and a plastic ball that is hit over a low net.

Points are earned when the opponent fails to return the ball, hitting the ball into the net or outside the court, and letting the ball bounce more than once, according to Brittanica, but only the serving player or team can score a point.

Games are played up to 11 points and are won by at least two points.
