Fete de la Musique 2026: All you need to know

Fete de la Musique season is here!

The music festival held every June is back to make the Philippines’ streets loud again.

With the theme “For the people, by the people,” Fete aims to focus on its core: the people who make the festival what it is.

“It’s a people-powered festival,” Noe Fuentes, Cultural Manager of Alliance Française de Manille, told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview following the festival’s media launch.

“We call it the community of communities. It’s an effort of different actors with different functions. You see it in a bigger picture, parang people-centered,” he added.

With the Fete tradition of free and accessible music shows, the team stressed that the festival is for people’s enjoyment, as well as supporting local music and the creative industry.

“Siguro mas naging blatant kami. The theme of Fete de la Musique is really about everyone,” Noe said.

“Kasi dati, may mga theme kami na mga of course on environment or theme on sustainability. Now, we want to highlight talaga na existing na siya na vibe ng Fete de la Musique, na talagang it’s really for the people,” he added.

Events to watch out for

Fete de la Musique kicks off on June 10 with the return of Music Heals, a program that focuses on sound healing and wellness. Venue, program flow, and other details are yet to be announced.

Renowned French pianist Maxime Zecchini will hold two intimate performances, starting at The Writer’s Bar in Raffles Makati on June 14, followed by a recital at the Alliance Française de Manille on June 15.

On June 19, the Asia-France Music Bridge Workshops will take place. It is a networking and exchange initiative for creative entrepreneurs, emerging artists, and cultural workers across Southeast Asia. French experts Gwendolenn Sharp and Leila Bellot will join local industry leaders in Manila to discuss intellectual property and creative growth.

From June 20 to 21, the Taste France French Market will be held along Paseo de Roxas. The market will feature an authentic selection of French food, wine, and other goods.

Closing the festival on June 29 is Manila-based jazz duo Project Yazz—composed of vocalist Faye Yupano and bassist Bergan Nuñez—who will take the stage at the Long Bar in Raffles Makati to perform their signature jazz reinterpretations of OPM songs.

Main stage

The Fete de la Musique main stage happens on June 20, Saturday at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati City.

The event will feature both acclaimed and breakthrough artists. Included in the lineup are chart-topping pop-rock outfit Lola Amour, jazz-rock and spoken-word collective Radioactive Sago Project, powerhouse hip-hop group Morobeats, and Jewelmer Jazz Band.

The main stage will also feature French acts. French krautrock trio Meule will perform as part of their Asian tour, as well as French-Vietnamese harpist Héloïse La Harpe.

Pocket stages and destination stages

The much-anticipated Fete de la Musique pocket stages will take place on June 26, Friday with 23 venues in NCR. The Fete tradition allows music lovers to hop from stage to stage in intimate venues all around Makati City. The stage genres range from emo, indie, hip-hop, jazz, grunge, gothic experimental, P-Pop, and many more.

The party continues outside Metro Manila because from June 20 to 28, there will be 66 destination stages across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, in areas including Zambales, Cagayan, Palawan, Siargao, and many more.

The full map, venues, and lineups will be announced on the Fete de la Musique social media pages soon. —JCB, GMA News
