'Supergirl' does everything to save superdog Krypto in official trailer
DC Studios has released the official trailer for "Supergirl," and it already looks like an action-packed adventure.
In the two-minute trailer, Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. Supergirl (Milly Alcock), is seen embracing her role as a hero, taking on multiple battles to save people while also caring for her superdog, Krypto, who is seriously ill after being shot.
"You cannot give up on me,” Supergirl tells Krypto in the trailer.
The trailer also features more action scenes involving Lobo (Jason Momoa) and includes cameo appearances by Superman (David Corenswet).
Earlier, the official teaser showed Supergirl celebrating her 23rd birthday by getting drunk at a bar.
Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley) asks Supergirl about the demise of her home planet, Krypto, where Superman also came from, and what Superman is like.
"He sees the good in everyone," Supergirl says. "And I see the truth."
Directed by Craig Gillespie, “Supergirl” follows Supergirl as she joins forces with an unlikely companion on an "epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice."
It also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham.
