'Kingdom Hearts 4' unveils gameplay trailer set in Tokyo-inspired world

Four years after the game was announced, we're finally getting a proper look at "Kingdom Hearts 4!"

Square Enix unveiled the gameplay trailer of the highly anticipated game during the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday night.

The trailer gives a peek at Sora's adventures in what appears to be Tokyo, Japan, including a fight scene in Shibuya.

According to the franchise, the game will launch simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Epic Games Store, and Steam.

No release date has been announced yet.

"Kingdom Hearts" is a video game franchise set in a vast array of Disney and Pixar worlds. The original game was released in 2002, and the last installment, "Kingdom Hearts 3," was released in 2019.

In 2024, developer Tetsuya Nomura said the franchise will be concluding soon. —JCB, GMA News
