'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' remake headed to Switch 2
Nintendo heard your prayers, Zelda fans!
A remake of the beloved 1998 game, "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," is set to hit the Switch 2 this 2026.
During the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday night, the video game company unveiled a teaser of the remake, featuring a sleeping Link in 4k resolution. The teaser also featured the iconic "Ocarina of Time" theme song.
Fans flooded the comments section of the trailer with excitement.
"Those first 3 notes just lit my entire soul on fire," one user said.
"Can't wait to see the Goron dance in 4k," another added.
The original "Ocarina of Time" was the first Zelda game with 3D graphics and was published for the Nintendo 64. Set in, as usual, Hyrule, the story follows Link in his mission to get to the Triforce before Ganondorf.
Other notable titles from "The Legend of Zelda" franchise include the open world games "Breath of the Wild" and "Tears of the Kingdom." —JCB, GMA News
