H.E.R., Liza Soberano, and Lea Salonga, who are part of the voice cast, will also contribute to the OST, according to Variety. H.E.R. and Liza will sing the film’s title track “BRB,” which includes Tagalog lyrics and reflects the bond between their characters.
BINI mean while contributes the original song “A Parallel World,” produced by Nathan Matthew David and Shawn Wasabi, while Katseye’s Sophia Laforteza performs a reimagined version of INXS’ classic “Never Tear Us Apart.”
The soundtrack also features SB19’s cover of Francis M.’s “Mga Kababayan,” and Ruby Ibarra’s “Salbahae Ako” with Carl Angelo.
Composer Nathan Matthew David also incorporated traditional Filipino sounds and instruments into the score, including indigenous instruments, the Las Piñas bamboo pipe organ, and Filipino choir elements.
According to Variety, the soundtrack draws heavily from Filipino and Filipino-American musical influences, with music inspired by the sounds of the 1980s and ’90s.
