BTS brings references their iconic carousel in 'Merry Go Round' MV

BTS has released the music video for “Merry Go Round,” currently available only through Spotify.

In the entirely monochromatic video, the K-pop superstars are shown inside a carousel floating through space with the imagery filled with symbolic elements.

But with BTS, a carousel is not just a carousel — the imagery is a callback to one of their most iconic eras, the "You Never Walk Alone" album in 2017. In fact, the album name is shown briefly in the "Merry Go Round" MV.

BTS notably used a carousel for the MV of their classic hit, "Spring Day," and referenced that scene once more in "Yet to Come" in 2022.

The “Merry Go Round” MV is exclusively available to Spotify Premium users.

The song is one of the tracks from BTS’ comeback album “Arirang,” which came out in March.

The members of the group earlier shared that they wrote the song based on their mandatory military experience.

BTS, comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, kicked off their “Arirang” world tour in April in South Korea.
