Sakamoto goes undercover in 'Sakamoto Days' Season 2 teaser trailer

The teaser trailer of the second season of the hit anime “Sakamoto Days” is here!

The 54-second video released by Netflix features former hitman Taro Sakamoto and Shin infiltrate JCC (Japan Cleaner Culture), Japan's assassin training institution.

It also offers a glimpse of Sakamoto going undercover as a student teacher disguised as his wife Aoi.

“Sakamoto Days” Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in January 2027.

"Sakamoto Days" is based on Yuuto Suzuki's manga of the same name. It was adapted into anime in 2025.

It was previously announced that a live action adaptation is set for 2026, starring Japanese pop idol Ren Meguro as Sakamoto.

"Sakamoto Days" follows the story of Sakamoto, a retired professional hitman-turned-convenience store owner who comes back to his dark past to protect his family and loved ones. —Jade Veronique Yap/JCB, GMA News
