Lionel Messi goes looking for Spider-Man in 'Brand New Day' promo teaser

Ahead of the theatrical release of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” a promotional teaser was shared on X, unexpectedly featuring the Argentinian football superstar.

In the video, Messi walks into a coffee shop, where he runs into Peter Parker (Tom Holland), who is starstruck by his presence.

Peter asks Lionel what brings him there, and the football icon reveals that he has joined the citywide search for Spider-Man using a phone tracker.

Without a second thought, Peter slips into a back room and emerges dressed as Spider-Man.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” takes place four years after the memory wipe at the end of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” In addition to Tom, the highly anticipated film stars Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned.

In June, Tom confirmed that he and Zendaya are married.

The two first sparked dating rumors after starring as Peter Parker and MJ in Marvel's 2017 blockbuster "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
