'Witch Hat Atelier' Season 2 teases a darker chapter for Coco

The first trailer for “Witch Hat Atelier” Season 2 has officially been released, giving fans an early look at Coco's next magical adventure while hinting at a darker turn in the story.

The newly unveiled preview showcases the young witch-in-training as she continues her journey, but with a noticeably more ominous atmosphere than the first season.

Throughout the trailer, Coco is seen wearing flowing black robes and, in one striking scene, a distinctive brimmed hat.

According to Crunchyroll, the trailer was first shown at the Witch Hat Atelier panel at Anime Expo 2026.

The “Witch Hat Atelier” series started airing in 2025.

It follows Coco, the daughter of a dressmaker who aspires to become a witch. However, she was born without any powers.
