Red Velvet to make a comeback with 'Velvet Summer'

Red Velvet is making a comeback!

The K-Pop girl group announced their new EP, “Velvet Summer,” which is set to be released on August 3 at 5 p.m. (Philippine time).

Red Velvet released a video teaser titled “Meet The Surfin' Boy,” showing an animated photo of a boy surfing on waves, which make up the shape of a woman.

Red Velvet’s last release was the 2024 album, “Cosmic.”

The group was last in Manila in September 2024 for the My Dear, ReVe1uv Fancon Tour. A concert film of the tour premiered in Philippine cinemas in 2025.

Members Irene and Seulgi were in Manila in 2025 for the “IAM K-POP” concert.

The group is known for the songs “Psycho,” “Russian Roulette,” and “Bad Boy,” among others.
