'Avengers: Doomsday' illustration by ex-Marvel art chief gathers full lineup of heroes
Marvel fans got a good look at the full cast of "Avengers: Doomsday" after former Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park shared a new illustration.
The illustration shows Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor von Doom towering over the heroes in his signature metal mask and green hooded cloak.
Also featured are the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Sam Wilson's Avengers, the New Avengers, Thor, Ant-Man, and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, highlighting the multiversal scope of the upcoming film.
Park revealed that the upcoming movie was the final full-film project he led as Marvel Studios' Director of Visual Development before his exit.
“It was truly an honor, and I was grateful to commemorate that journey with this marketing illustration which officially reveals, for the first time, the characters and their looks in the film,” he said.
“This one was definitely a beast to paint, but I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it.”
According to Park, the artwork also serves as a personal reflection of his 16-year journey with Marvel Studios.
“These pieces represent more than the story or the characters in the film. For me, they also capture my own journey through the whole production—the challenges, the victories, the teamwork, the relationships, and all the fun we had bringing it to life,” he said.
He concluded his message by referencing one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most memorable lines.
“Part of the journey is the end… and what a journey it has been.”
“Avengers: Doomsday” is set to arrive on December 18.
