Blackpink's Jennie announces new song 'Less Than a Lover'
Jennie is coming out with a new single!
The Blackpink member announced in a series of Instagram posts that she is releasing the song “Less Than a Lover” on Friday, July 24, at 12 p.m. Philippine time.
The photos show scenic shots of Jennie with a mystery man. The words, “The summer I chose to pause the love story,” are written on each of the photos.
Jennie is behind the music, writing, and direction of the upcoming release.
The K-pop idol has been expanding her solo career in recent years. In 2025, she dropped her debut solo album, "Ruby."
Her songs include "Like Jennie," "Handlebars," and "Love Hangover."
In 2025, Blackpink also visited the Philippines for their Deadline world tour.
The group released their comeback EP, "Deadline," in February this year.
