In 'Ebenezer' trailer, Johnny Depp transforms into Scrooge

The official trailer for "Ebenezer" has been released, offering a darker and more haunting take on Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale, “A Christmas Carol.”

Released on Friday, The trailer introduces Johnny Depp as the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted businessman who has little regard for Christmas.

Set against the backdrop of Victorian London, Scrooge is shown rejecting the festive spirit while treating those around him with cruelty and contempt.

As the trailer unfolds, mysterious supernatural forces begin to surround Scrooge. Ghostly apparitions and chilling visions hint at the arrival of the Spirits of Christmas.

Aside from Depp, the cast also includes Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley, Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, and Andrea Riseborough.

Directed by horror filmmaker Ti West, “Ebenezer" will premiere in Philippine cinemas in November 2026.
