'& Juliet' to be staged in Manila in 2027

“& Juliet” is coming to Manila!

The hit Broadway jukebox musical will be making its way to the Philippine stage in 2027, Full House Theater Company announced on Instagram.

The cast and exact show dates have yet to be announced.

“& Juliet” follows Juliet from William Shakespeare’s legendary love story, “Romeo and Juliet.” It tells the story of Juliet, who lived following Romeo’s death. She runs away from her conservative parents and searches for a fresh start by going on a Paris road trip with her best friends April and May, as well as her nurse and second mother, Angelique.

The musical features the hit songs of Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, and more pop icons.

"& Juliet" made its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House in September 2019. It then premiered at the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End in November that same year. It opened on Broadway in November 2022 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

It has won three Laurence Olivier Awards and was nominated for nine Tony Awards.
