Kris Aquino is Netflix's official C.H.I.K.A.
We certainly didn't see this coming.
Netflix just dropped its latest campaign and it's staring Kris Aquino as its official Chief head of Insights and Content Analysis a.k.a. official C.H.I.K.A.
In a video dropped on Friday, the Queen of All Media sat down in the editing room for her first day on the job, where she eagerly gave her honest-to-goodness candid comments on local titles streaming this month including GMA's "The Master Cutter."
"Alam mo yung wardrobe nila, in my opinion, sana mas may style," she tells her colleague, an editor named Earljohn. "Pwedeng kaya gawing mas stylish," she asks.
Earljohn gave in to Kris' request and edited the scene to show Dingdong Dantes in a Hawaiian shirt, much to Kris' satisfaction.
On Facebook, the video immediately commanded more than 2.1K engagements.
According to Netflix, Kris will headline a three-episode campaign. The next episode will drop on August 14 and the last on August 20.
This is Kris' comeback following her serious years-long health concerns that saw her battling up to nine autoimmune diseases.
Earlier this year, she shared her goal of launching a weekly video podcast, where she plans to interview people she finds interesting.
Ahead of the drop, Netflix teased about the official C.H.I.K.A. role for which it was supposedly hiring.
On Friday morning, it posted a video on Instagram Stories, where Kris is seen in her pink pajamas scrolling on her phone and coming across the job posting.
"With my 40 years experience in commercials, TV, the movies, and let's be honest, I was the very first to do online vlogging, this job is meant for me," she said.
"Netflix, game na," Kris said.
