'Hogwarts Legacy' sequel confirmed to be in development

A sequel to the video game “Hogwarts Legacy” is officially in the works.

Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed the news in its second-quarter 2026 shareholder letter, listing the “second installment of Hogwarts Legacy” among the games in its pipeline.

“Games remains an important growth lever as we work toward our long-term Studios segment goals,” the company said in a letter dated August 6.

“We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy,” it said.

No further details about the sequel, including its title, release date, story, characters, or platforms, were announced.
