Alex Eala attends first fashion show during New York Fashion Week

Filipino tennis star Alex Eala just attended her first-ever fashion show: the Tory Burch Spring/Summer 2027 runway show during New York Fashion Week.

Teen Vogue shared a reel on Instagram showing some of its favorite sightings at the show, including Alex, Ravyn Lenae, Miku Martineau, and Maia Reficco.

According to a separate post by Vogue magazine, Alex sat front row at the show, alongside Amanda Seyfried, Lauryn Hill, and Ravyn, among others.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Cultured magazine, Alex expressed her excitement to be part of the show.

"This is my first fashion week. I'm so excited, I'm a little nervous, there are some amazing people in this room, so I'm so happy to be a part of it," she said, adding that her mom had a lot of shoes from the fashion label when she was growing up.

"Sports and fashion are common in a way where you get to express yourself and you get to show your personality. Sports is very physically demanding and — fashion — maybe come back to me after this week and I'll know more about it," she quipped.

Alex was recently featured on Vanity Fair, where she shared about her life on and off the tennis court and talked about her grandfather, Filipino fans, and more.

She is set to hold the event “Alex Eala Live: Game. Set. Celebrate” on December 8 at the Philippine Arena. She will face fellow Southeast Asian tennis star Janice Tjen of Indonesia at the exhibition.

Early this month, Alex bowed out of the US Open after succumbing to her friend, Iva Jovic, in the third round.
