Expectation vs. reality: Online seller's Chinese-style shirt ends up on horror character on 'Unang Hirit'
An online seller who posted his Chinese-style shirt on Facebook Marketplace got an unexpected surprise after finding out who actually wore the outfit.
On TikTok, Matthew Aquino shared his experience after a member of the "Unang Hirit" team reached out to ask about the clothing, saying it would be worn by a guest on the morning show's October 19 episode.
Naturally, the seller was delighted, thinking that the shirt would be worn by a celebrity guest for a segment.
He even wondered whether "Unang Hirit" hosts Joy Barcoma, Baus Rufo, or Anjo Pertierra would end up wearing his pre-loved piece.
But to his surprise, the shirt was used by Lotus Feet, the ghost and central antagonist of the 2004 Philippine supernatural horror film "Feng Shui."
As of writing, the TikTok post has since garnered more than one million views, 170,000 likes, and thousands of comments from netizens who couldn't help but laugh at the seller's hilarious experience.
The "Unang Hirit" hosts also joined in on the fun in the comment section.
"Sorry late! Akin na, suotin ko 'yan," Anjo said.
"Surprise hahaha," Joy wrote.
"It all worked out in the end," Baus commented, adding a ghost emoji.
