Ultimate family bonding experiences await shoppers as SM Supermalls teams up with some of the world’s best consumer brands in bringing new product launches and fun events to at least 30 SM malls nationwide from May to December this year.

Early this month, the retail giant launched its ‘Home of Global Brands’ campaign, which takes shopping in the Philippines to a whole new level. For its kickoff, SM partnered with LG Philippines to launch LG’s Innovation of a Better Life, an exhibit that gave consumers a glimpse of the most high-tech appliances today.

Top-of-the-line products were on display for shoppers to experience first-hand such as an air conditioner that repels mosquitoes (LG Mosquito Away Air Conditioner), a refrigerator that allows you to view its contents without opening its doors (LG Door-in-Door Refrigerators), and a single washing machine that can hold two loads at the same time (LG Twin Wash). Other products featured in the event were the LG OLED TV and the LG G6 mobile phone.

Many spectators were impressed with the appliances on display that show how one’s lifestyle can be more convenient and tech-forward. Aileyrein Abelardo, a mother and one of the visitors, particularly thought the anti-mosquito air conditioner is practical, “I buy patches and stick them on my kids’ bed sheets to keep mosquitoes away. This is amazing!”

“We want to give our customers something current, something exciting, something that would make them want to come back every weekend,” explains Jonjon San Agustin, Senior Vice President for Marketing of SM Supermalls. Upon arranging the exhibit, the retail giant says it considered current global trends in bringing in products that will most likely appeal to Filipinos.
