Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez's gown at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 coronation night is a real winner

She may have bowed out early, Philippine representative Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez's evening gown at the Reina hispanoamericana coronation night deserves a longer and better look.

But it's not just any marsala red gown. Designed by Benj Leguiab IV, Alyssa's evening gown number featured three stars and a sun, a nod to and inspired by the Philippine flag.

According to Benj, he made the gown in less than a week!

It's similar to the attention-grabbing royal blue number, which featured a cleverly placed Philippine map on the back, that Alyssa wore during the Miss World Philippines pageant in October. It was also designed by Benj Leguiab IV. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
