Mak Tumang gives a closer look of Catriona's gown for her final Miss Universe walk

Filipino designer Mak Tumang showed a closer look of Catriona's Gray's final walk called "Reflection."

Like Philippine bet Gazini Ganados' eagle-inspired national costume, Catriona's gown was inspired by the Philippine eagle's reflection on the sea.

"The creation's inspiration stems from the vision of the Philippine Eagle flying over the flawless turquoise seas embracing our archipelago," Mak said on Instagram.

"Despite its mighty ability to soar up high far beyond the clouds, it could still manage to look down until the point of reflecting itself on the shiny waters," he added.

According to Mak, "the display both might and humility is the call each of us heeds" and like the eagle, the whole nation we should "have a steadfast spirit yet we also take a moment to journey within ourselves."

Catriona delivered her farewell speech as glided on stage for her final walk as Miss Universe 2018 before she turned over the crown to the new queen Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi.

Mak is the same creative who designed Catriona's winning looks in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant.

Catriona turned over the Miss Universe crown to South Africa's Zozibini Tunzi, who was given a new crown called "Power in Unity." It is inspired by nature, strength, beauty, femininity, and unity made by jewelry house Mouawad.

She is the third South African beauty queen to win Miss Universe after Demi-Leigh Nel Peters (2017) and Margaret Gardiner (1978). — LA, GMA News
