Uniqlo Airism face masks will drop in the Philippines tomorrow

The Uniqlo Airism face mask will finally be made available in the Philippine starting Friday, September 18.

In an Instagram Story Thursday afternoon, the Uniqlo Philippines account shared the good news, saying the much-awaited face mask is "arriving tomorrow" in store and on the app.

The Airism face mask comes in two colors — white and black — and are sold in a pack of three for P590. There are three sizes available: small, medium, and large.

Because everybody seems to be waiting for it, Uniqlo has put a purchase limit; a customer can only buy 6 packs at a time.

Apart from the special and beloved Airism material, the face mask comes with three layers of protection.

According to its website, the outer-most layer blocks 90% of UV rays while the middle layer has the nano-filter, which blocks 99% of particles like pollen and bacteria. The inner most layer is made with the special Airism material and breathable mesh, for a comfortable and presko feel.

The mask is washable and retains efficacy after 20 washes.

After announcing its plans to produce face masks in May, Uniqlo unveiled the Airism face mask in Japan last June.

And even before it arrived in the Philippine market, Uniqlo Philippines already pledged 500,000 Airism face masks to frontliners in August.

The wearing of face mask has become mandatory in our bid to arrest COVID-19. In August, Interior secretary Eduardo Año even advised the wearing of face mask at home as transmission of the virus has become per family. — LA, GMA News
