These new Adidas Stan Smith sneakers are stylish and sustainable


The fundamentally unchanged timeless design of Stan Smith is making exceptions for sustainability.

Adidas Originals announces the release of “Stan Smith, Forever,” which according to the shoe brand is a “touchstone in the brand’s journey to help end plastic waste.”

According to a press release, the Adidas Originals returns with three unique iterations of the longest standing and most successful Stan Smith sneaker as a way to create a more sustainable future.

Maintaining its look, the first two sneakers are composed of white Primegreen uppers, which is a series of high-performance recycled materials sitting atop white recycled rubber outsoles.

The women’s iteration features printed planet earth-inspired graphics on the white heel tab, and ivory tongue graphic.

The second iteration boasts of embossed planet Earth graphics, gold eyelets, and green heel tabs.

Finally, the third sneaker has a white recycled Primegreen upper and is complimented by Stan Smith’s iconic green heel tab and sat atop a white recycled rubber outsole.

Aside from the shoes, its packaging is also made sustainable, stored inside the classic adidas Originals blue box which is said to be made of more than 990% recycled paper.
