Hyun Bin is the new brand ambassador of this eCommerce platform

Korean super star Hyun Bin is the newest regional brand ambassador of eCommerce platform Lazada.

The shopping platform announced the news in a press statement Monday, saying Hyun Bin's introduction as its regional brand ambassador was in celebration of LazMall's third anniversary. 

The Korean actor said he is "very happy to be joining the Lazada family and connecting with fans in Southeast Asia as LazMall’s first regional brand ambassador."

"I look forward to creating lots of fun times together, starting with the 9.9 Big Brands Sale. I wish everyone good health and hope you stay safe until we can meet again in person," he added.

According to Lazada, Hyun Bin headlines a short film that should capture "the imaginations of fans in a character reminiscent of his popular action sequences," the statement read.

In the film, Hyun Bin plays an agent on a cover mission commandeering crew of operatives. Of course there is a fun twist involving care packages from the platform. 

The Korean hottie said shooting the short film "was incredibly fun, especially when we got creative in demonstrating the efficiency, reliability and variety of products that LazMall offers to shoppers through a secret agent mission storyline.”
