Halle Bailey looks ethereal in 'The Little Mermaid' premiere: 'I’m so overwhelmed and overjoyed'

Halle Bailey just turned up in the most ethereal dress at the world premiere of "The Little Mermaid."

The actress, who plays Ariel in the live-action film, donned a silver-blue grown seemingly designed to look like ocean waves.

"We made it," Halle said in her caption. "You guys, I’m so overwhelmed and overjoyed that this movie is almost here for you all to see."

"This was the first premiere of the press run and I have been in tears and feeling oh so grateful.. this is just a little peak of some pictures, I will be posting more soon," she added.

Starring alongside Halle is Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric. Melissa McCarthy ("Gilmore Girls") plays Ursula while Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem ("Skyfall") plays Ariel's father, King Triton.

"The Little Mermaid" is slated to be released on May 24 in the Philippines.
