'Drag Race PH: Slaysian Royale:' Viñas DeLuxe dominates design challenge with jaw-dropping gown
Fresh from winning a RuBadge in the girl group challenge, Viñas DeLuxe is back on top in the "Holy Cacao" episode of "Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale."
In the main runway of episode three, Viñas showcased a stunning couture gown made of 900 fossilized cacao leaves. The ensemble featured a fitted bodice with a face sculpture on the upper right of her top and a skirt with a thigh-high slit and flowing train.
In an interview with GMA Integrated News' DJ Magdaraog during a viewing party at Rampa Drag Club, the drag queen revealed that she studied sculpting in preparation for the competition.
"Nag-practice ako gumawa ng sculpture kasi I think 'yun 'yung bagay na hindi pa nagagawa ever sa 'Drag Race' history," she said.
"Happy naman ako na nagawa ko 'yun and happy na meron tayong RuBadge ulit because of our risk and nag-pay off siya," she added.
Following this season's format, the two top queens, Viñas DeLuxe and Kitty Space, lip-synced for their legacy and decided who would be eliminated.
In the end, Viñas secured the season's third RuBadge and sent Ivory Glaze home.
