Camille Co reacts to being mistakenly tagged on social media: ‘I’m not an heiress’

Camille Co, a fashion blogger turned lifestyle content creator, took to social media to clarify that she is not connected to the viral Co family currently making headlines.

On social media, Camille first said she was surprised to see comments on her TikTok account associating her with the prominent family that shares her surname.

“I’m not related to them nor do I know them,” Camille wrote.

In a followup post, she said, “I’m not an heiress. I’m just a hardworking kween."

On TikTok, Camille also shared a video with the caption: “POV: When you’re a Co but not THAT Co.”

Despite her multiple clarifications, Camille repeated her plea on Thursday and clarified further, "I am Camille. Not Claudine. Spell it with me now: C-A-M-I-L-L-E."

She is referring to Claudine Co, who was recently bashed for flaunting her lavish lifestyle and has since deleted her social media presence.

Claudine is the daughter of Christopher Co, who, according to its 2019 Articles of Incorporation, is listed as one of the owners of Hi-Tone Construction & Development Corporation.

Hi-Tone is one of the 15 contractors that President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. earlier revealed to have received 20% of the total P545 billion budget for flood control projects.

In his last State of the Nation Address, Marcos vowed to hold those involved in anomalous flood control projects accountable.

On Monday, Senate President Francis Escudero signed subpoenas against individuals behind eight construction firms that failed to send representatives during last week’s Senate inquiry on flood control projects, including Hi-Tone Construction & Development Corporation. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
