Mak Tumang grateful to create Ahtisa Manalo’s national costume at Miss Universe 2025

Mak Tumang extends his gratitude to Ahtisa Manalo and the Miss Universe Philippines organization for entrusting him with this year’s national costume.

On Instagram, the Kapampangan designer shared a photo of himself with Ahtisa donning his creation dubbed Festejada, an ode to the Philippines' rich culture of festivals.      

“Lubos po kaming nagpapasalamat sa pagkakataon at sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob ninyo,” Mak wrote.

During the Miss Universe National Costume competition Wednesday, Ahtisa gracefully waltzed on the runway, showcasing the beautiful details of her ensemble.

The Miss Universe 2025 competition will proceed with the preliminaries scheduled at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Last week, Ahtisa confidently walked in a green two-piece bikini for the swimsuit show.

Crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 in May, Ahtisa is vying for the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.

The coronation event is happening on November 21 at the Impact Muong Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
