Beyonce makes fashionable comeback at Met Gala after 10 years

Queen Bey is back to slay!

Beyoncé has made a fashionable comeback on the steps of the Met Gala, nearly 10 years after her last appearance at the benefit in 2016.

Serving as a co-chair for 2026, the “Single Ladies” hitmaker arrived at the event wearing an Olivier Rousteing creation: a diamond-encrusted, skeleton-inspired dress. She paired her look with a sparkling headpiece fit for a one-of-a-kind Queen Bey.

It was also a family affair on the steps, as Beyoncé was joined by her daughter, Blue Ivy, and husband, Jay-Z.

In an interview with Vogue, Beyoncé said it “feels surreal” to return to the Met Gala, especially now that her daughter is joining her at the event.

“It's incredible to be able to share it with her,” she said.

For 2026, the theme is “Fashion is Art,” inviting attendees to explore fashion as an embodied art form and express their personal relationship with it.

The gala will celebrate "Costume Art," the spring exhibition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, which will open on May 10. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
