SONA 2026: A closer look at First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos' Michael Leyva Filipiniana

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has chosen Filipino designer Michael Leyva to craft her Filipiniana for the fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of her husband, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

On Instagram, Leyva shared a closer look at the bespoke Filipiniana in a soft pink hue, which features butterfly sleeves with delicate callado details, an overlapping pencil skirt silhouette, and intricate lace appliqué.

Leyva is also the designer behind several celebrities and personalities spotted at the Batasang Pambansa for SONA 2026 as well as the opening of the 20th Congress, including Audrey Zubiri, Chandreena Tulfo, Jocelyn Tulfo, and Kath Pimentel, among others.
