1M expected in Iloilo this weekend for Dinagyang

At least one million guests are expected to flock to Iloilo province this weekend for the Dinagyang Festival.

 

Organizers are making last-minute preparations to ensure the success of the event, GMA Iloilo's Joecel Huesca and Vangio Robles reported.

 

Five stages are being constructed to serve as judging areas for the tribes that will take part in the Kasadyahan Festival and Ati-Tribe competition.

 

Emergency lanes have also been set up in case of contingencies.

 

Dinagyang, held in honor of the Santo Niño (Christ Child), is considered one of the biggest festivals in Western Visayas. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
